Blacks Good Companions

An iconic tent that can feel like it is from a bygone age, it was available from the 1930's up to the 1970's and came in Major and Minor variants

A remarkable design using a single 'A' frame as the main support and the tension of the guy lines and fabric to hold the structure in shape. Interior space is completely uncluttered and somewhat Tardis like

There was an optional flysheet but if well cared for the weather resistance was/is very good without it

Dearly loved by most that used them they do still turn up on used market, sometimes for hefty sums indeed

Thanks to Tim for sharing the pics of his beauty
