BCT Task Force

Made by Bradford Canvas and Tent in traditional Cotton Canvas or All Season (Polyester?) Fabric these are traditional 'A' Frame Ridge Tents in the mould of a Vango Force Ten

They come in three basic sizes of 3 berth, 4 berth and 5 berth. In many ways they make a better buy than a Force Ten as the basic tent can be bought with an optional zip on ridge extension that adds nearly 3m more living and cooking space

3 Berth is 3.6m x 2.2m with a 1.9m wide x 2.6m long (into bell end) sleeping pod
4 Berth is 3.9m x 2.6m with a 2.4m wide x 2.8m long (into bell end) sleeping pod
5 Berth is 4.8m x 3.2m with a 1.9m wide x 2.6m long (into bell end) sleeping pod

Unlike Vango and its bright orange fabrics they are available in a soft green or beige which (to our eyes) is much more environmentally friendly. Some more info is here on the BCT website

In terms of other models to consider, the Vango Force Ten is the only modern competition though Cabanon do now list a range of tradition ridge tents like the Yamaska - it is probable if you wanted one that it would have to be ordered for you from one of the UK Cabanon stockists

If you are looking at used tents then Cabanon Isabelle is similar but not as robust (in extreme conditions) and Lichfield Paladin/Challenger is more practical with its windowed porch extention

as ever, please share any user views or pics so we can put them up on the website
